Australian Citizenship Test was introduced by the Australian Government to test migrant's knowledge of Australia before applying for naturalization. The test is based on the official book "Our Common Bond" which you will need to study before you fill in your citizenship application. The book contains 3 main chapters:

  • Australia's democratic beliefs, rights and liberties
  • Australia and its people
  • Government and law in Australia

Each of these chapters is covered by Ozzietest, one of the newest citizenship preparation courses. You will be able to access the study guide, the testable section of the book and free practice tests.

Each test contains 20 questions, you will need to answer 15 correctly to pass. If you fail, you will be able to have another try. The immigration officer will tell you when your next test is booked.

These practice tests should make you familiar with the format of questions asked in the real citizenship test. You should only use it as a rough guide. The real questions asked are protected by the government to secure the immigration system.

After passing the test, you are one step closer to your Australian citizenship. The fee for the test is already included in your application. You will not need to pay extra. Be warned of scammers which charge you extra for booking your test.

The test itself is pretty easy, everyone should pass
