Doberman Pinscher is a very formidable guardian, yet he is really gentle, watchful and loving, just like any other adorable dogs. He does not like to look for trouble, unlike the smaller terriers or other dogs with webbed feet. But that does not mean he will back down when there is trouble: this is a fearless dog who will go through great measures to protect and defend his family. He is also really great at sensing danger.

The Doberman Pinscher really enjoys being inside a household, a family. The dog likes being close to the ones he loves. As long as this love he needs is present, he will show his natural instinct as a protector. With the children inside the house, the Doberman Pinscher will be very trustworthy. The same goes for your friends and guests, as long as they treat him nicely.

There are undoubtedly a lot of positive qualities about this dog, however, it is not like very one should get one Doberman Pinscher for themselves: there are people who are suited to other dogs. Because this dog is large, the normal one can weigh up to 60 pounds, and the bigger ones can weigh up to 80. As large as a Doberman Pinscher is, he is also very active, in the physical aspect and the mental aspect. He requires a lot of exercises each day and a lot of the best dog food for dobermans to go along with it.

If you plan to adopt a Doberman Pinscher, you will also need to give him a lot of mental challenge to keep this dog from being bored. He needs to see you as a strong owner, a pack leader whom he can trust, has the ability to take him for proper socialization and give him training in appropriate ways, is short, keeps him busy physically and mentally every day. For some people who lead a more laid back life, it can be a bit too much to handle.
