Yesmail published a report that shows responsive email design yields more clicks and opens. This will change the way you design and send emails to your subscribers.

Data from last quarter of 2015 has shown some interesting numbers about email opens on mobile devices. Once an email is opened by a subscriber on a mobile device, what he is going to do next largely depends on the design of the email.

Responsive email designs happen to receive up to 24% more clicks from mobile devices. This means if you are sending an email with responsive design that shows pretty well to mobile users, you are expected to receive 24% more clicks than an email that lacks responsive design.

It has also been seen that businesses that always send responsive emails to their subscribers on average experience 55% high click-to-open rates on mobile and 23% higher click-to-open rates on the desktop as compared to businesses not employing responsive email design.

So it is evident that responsive design improves ROI but only 17% of the businesses use responsive design for all their emails while only 38% business use it for most of their email marketing campaigns.

Now?

As a business and as an email marketer, you should start employing responsive email design in your emails starting today. This will not only improve CTR, CTO and conversions but it will also improve customer engagement and will give you a competitive advantage over your competitors.
